Secondly, by helping war victims, European countries show that they care about human rights. Protecting innocent people from hunger, violence or homelessness is simply the right thing to do. Thirdly, supporting people affected by war can also benefit European societies. Refugees and migrants often bring new skills, cultures, and perspectives, which enrich the countries that take them in. Finally, if European countries work together to offer help, they can also promote peace and stability both in their own regions and around the world.

In my opinion, several Polish charities are very effective. The Polish Humanitarian Action (Polska Akcja Humanitarna, PAH) is one of the best-known organizations. Secondly, Caritas Polska is highly effective, particularly when it comes to supporting families and children in need. It organizes food distributions, helps the homeless, and runs shelters for those affected by war, especially refugees from Ukraine. Thirdly, The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, WOŚP) is extremely efficient in collecting funds for hospitals and medical equipment. The annual fundraising events raise millions of złoty and have a real impact on healthcare in Poland. All these charities are transparent about how they spend their money, which makes them trustworthy and effective.

3. Do you believe that wars can ever be stopped? Justify your opinion.

It is difficult to imagine a world completely free from wars, but I still believe that wars can be reduced and, in some cases, stopped. Firstly, international organizations like the United Nations work to prevent conflicts through mediation and peacekeeping missions. Their efforts have stopped or reduced some wars, for example, in the Balkans. Secondly, better education and economic cooperation between countries help to reduce the reasons for wars, such as poverty, misunderstanding or competition for resources. Thirdly, social media and fast communication can help spread information quickly, which allows people to react and pressure governments to choose dialogue over violence. However, it requires the cooperation of many countries and the willingness of people to solve conflicts peacefully. So, while wars may not disappear completely, their number and intensity can be limited.

Yes, charities are very important to people in need. Firstly, they provide immediate help, such as food, shelter, and medical assistance for people affected by disasters, war, or poverty. Many times, only charities are available to react quickly, before government help arrives. Secondly, charities often focus on groups of people who might otherwise be forgotten, such as children, the elderly, or refugees. They fill the gaps that public institutions sometimes miss. Thirdly, charities encourage the whole society to help others, teach empathy and spread kindness. Thanks to their actions, more people are inspired to volunteer or donate, making the world a better place. Without charities, many people would not get the support they need in difficult times.
